Black Scrolly - free XML blogger template

Here is a new free New Blogger template called "Black Scrolly" - it's released and available under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License.

Note: If you have any widgets/data that you do not wish to lose in your sidebar please "Download Full Template" before uploading this template.

  • If you are currently using a template in "Classic Blogger"
    you may have to go back to your Blogger dashboard and click on TEMPLATE >> CUSTOMISE DESIGN for it to work.
    You will have to "upgrade your template" to upload the XML file.
    It may ask you to chose a generic template first, but after doing this you can go to the below TEMPLATE screen and "upload a template from a file on your hard drive" - and it will work.
  • If you are already using "new" Blogger:
    then you should be able to upload this straight away - again, please back up your current template if you have data in the sidebar, as previously mentioned.

IMPORTANT: Nov 26th Update: this design is not displaying properly in IE6, but looks very pretty on IE7, Firefox and Safari (Macs & PCs). I shouldn't be so worried I know. I do want to make sure it looks pretty for everyone so I'll try and fix it (or re-skin it) in the next week and re-upload. If you're not using the most recent version of Firefox or Internet Explorer then you're putting yourself at risk, as older versions are less secure. Check which versions you have and update.

Hey, SML - I'm using this Black Scrolly, and it looks great. I did want to point out a little something I needed to fix, though: a minor HTML typo. The credits link to your website that appears at the bottom of the page does indeed go to suckmylolly.com when you click it, but it's misspelled on the page itself. Check it out, you'll see it. It's not in the live demo site you created, but I saw it when I swapped it into my site. I sifted through to code and fixed it in mine - is it possible that it's in the new REdone version as well?

Thanks MattK - yes I did notice it after I'd uploaded it but I thought I had fixed it - and then re uploaded it! Der - I must have not re-uploaded the zip file properly. Thanks for the heads up - is fixed now.

Also.... New Black Scrolly has my credits in the image itself.
