When you get back could you take a look at your txt file that's supposed to have the html for the 'Wink Wink Nudge Nudge' layout?
I downloaded the zip and followed the instructions but the html doesn't actually seem to be on the txt file. :/
Maybe I'm having a blonde moment, but I'd appreciate it if you could get back to me about it.

it's definitely there (it's called winkwink.txt and you have to open it in a plain text thing to view the code). If you're using a Mac then you'll need to drag and drop the file into Safari or Firefox to view the code (which loads within the page) before copying and pasting it all into the "html" section of your blogger template. It will work as I have seen other's using it.
It is for OLD or CLASSIC blogger though, which you might not have realised? It's not for widget blogs.

Ah, that might have been the problem. I was previously on a Mac, but I'll have a check now I'm back on a PC. Thanks a lot. :)
