Ok, I've made a another XML template which is pretty cute. There is room for your own description, but it's going to overlap the exclamation point (it doesn't look bad but I prefer it without). Also, this has a super cute pencil at the base of the entry! So cute!

(click on pic for a live preview)
  • Click: download the Code (zip)
  • Click: for a live preview
Note: If you have any widgets/data that you do not wish to lose in your sidebar please backup your data before uploading this - you may lose them!
  • If you are currently using a template in "Classic Blogger"
you may have to go back to your Blogger dashboard and click on TEMPLATE >> CUSTOMISE DESIGN for it to work.
You will have to "upgrade your template" to upload the XML file.
It may ask you to chose a generic template first, but after doing this you can go to the below TEMPLATE screen and "upload a template from a file on your hard drive" - and it will work.
  • If you are already using "new" Blogger:
then you should be able to upload this straight away - again, please back up your current template if you have data in the sidebar, as previously mentioned.

How to install:

(click for a larger view)

Click: download the Code (zip)

ps: if you have the "Edit Post" thingy set then it's going to appear that there are 2 pencils almost overlapping at the base of the entry. Don't worry, you're the only one who sees two pencils.

Here's a blogger template (for "classic" blogger) that I've had floating around for a while. Not too fancy, but I like the colours and I know that some people want a pretty simple design.

Ok, I have reskinned a XML blogger template to be the same as Black Scrolly (post previous to this one) but I had to change a few things around so it is slightly different from the orangey, previous, design. It works in IE6, IE7 and even... (bah bah bah bah) IE5.5.

I've changed the orange into pink and moved the round embellishment thing to the side.

Here is a new free New Blogger template called "Black Scrolly" - it's released and available under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License.

IMPORTANT: Nov 26th Update: this design is not displaying properly in IE6, but looks very pretty on IE7, Firefox and Safari (Macs & PCs). I shouldn't be so worried I know. I do want to make sure it looks pretty for everyone so I'll try and fix it (or re-skin it) in the next week and re-upload. If you're not using the most recent version of Firefox or Internet Explorer then you're putting yourself at risk, as older versions are less secure. Check which versions you have and update.

Ok, this is my very first try at an XML (new) blogger template. It's pretty simple but that's ok, as it is my first try. This design is called "Oh La La" and it's available under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License.

(click for a live preview)
  • Download the template: here (zip file)
  • See a live preview here
To make sure that this blog design looks the same as it does on the preview page, I recommend the following page elements layout - pay note to where the "Header" is (in top of sidebar), as any other positioning may make the layout slightly odd.

(click for a larger view)

Since this is my first XML layout (and is a modified version of "Dots Dark" - a generic Blogger template) I have no guarantees that this will work.

To install this design go to TEMPLATE >> EDIT HTML >> UPLOAD A FILE FROM YOUR HARD DRIVE

Upload the XML file (within the zipped file) and upload it. Preview first of course.

If you use it, or try it, let me know if it works OK.

Hello, just a quickie...
I was researching this site on Technorati tonight and I found a review and then a comment that went something like this:

Two reasons I wouldn't ever use their templates:
1) They don't work with New Blogger.
2) The name of their site disgusts me. While it may be innocent, the double meaning of the site name, is one I wouldn't use if it cost me my life.

If they were to change their site name, and make them work in New Blogger, I would consider it. But as is, no way.

As this is the internet and my site that's in question, I believe I am allowed a rebuttal.

  • I have not jumped head on into the "new" blogger way of life for a few reasons. First of all, I'm not a professional web designer. I'm the first to admit that I can't do it all. I am perfectly content with my CSS and html thank you very much (this page your looking at now is "Classic Blogger" and I think it's doing OK for itself). I think the majority of people out there are just interesting in writing about their everyday lives and don't need a website/blog dripping with widgets (ahem). I am reasonable at designing simple blog designs with interesting graphics and that's what I do. I don't pretend to do more than that. I hope some people out there are pleased with what I offer.

  • OK, so what if my URL is a double entendre? Look I understand that people are different and some are easily offended but seriously.... you'd rather DIE than mention my website? That's seriously twisted. Seriously. Get a grip.
I chose the URL suckmylolly.com because I thought it was cute and funny. Also, I like the aesthetics of lollies quite a lot. And what do you do with a lolly? You suck it, silly!

So, in conclusion, if the URL of my blog offends you so greatly that you'd rather DIE and give up wonderful things in life such as chocolate cake, kittens and your very own family....before you use one of my templates, that's up to you. Remove the link back to me if it means that much.

Oh and while you're at it, go get a life and stop blogging.

ps: apologies for all words in this entry with double meanings. THE HORROR, THE ABSOLUTE FREAKIN HORROR!

pps: Regular readers, forgive me. That was not meant for you.
I keep forgetting this is the internet and everyone has an opinion.

Here is a template called "Alpine Green" which is for sale for a flat fee of $15US.
You will be the ONLY person on the net with this design as I will *never* give nor sell it to another person. It has no credit link back to me so it's completely clean.

(please click for a larger screen grab)

Conditions / How to purchase:
  • The only payment option is via PayPal.
  • If you're interested in this design please email me on freebloggerdesigns@gmail.com. I will then contact you within 24 hours to provide you with a link to a live "test" design so you can see/test it on your own computer to ensure you like it.

  • This live test link will be available for you to view and you can then email me within 24 hours and let me know if you want to purchase the design or not. If you do wish to purchase the design, let me know and we will move onto the next step.

  • Please see below for any changes to the site design.

What's included?
  • I will change the header text and description text (you may also chose to have no description). If you don't like the font I have selected then you may select your own from dafont.com - I have a Mac and dafont.com is accommodating for Macs.
I will test a total of TWO different fonts for you (sending you the banner image so you can see it) before you should decide which font you like.

  • I will add 1-10 text links to the side bar of the design for you. You must specify the URLs of these links to me via email. If you do not want a links section, I can remove it.

  • Any further changes to the design are your own responsibility.

  • On completion of the design I will email you a folder including the blogger code, instructions and all images. I will leave these images hosted on my photobucket account or you may chose to host them somewhere else (this is your responsibly to change the image paths if you chose to organise your own hosting).

  • The design is to be installed by you (help is available upon request for no extra fee).
If you have any questions at all, please email me! I'm friendly!

First in, best dressed.
This design is sold on the above conditions.

I'm really enjoying the bare bones of this template! This is the last one for today. Look at the two previous posts if you want to see some more (simple) designs.... but here's one called "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not".

This is a slightly altered "Simple Fantasy" design, with some flowers added behind your title. The side bar is a slightly different colour also. Enjoy!

Hi there! Hope you like this design. It's simple, classy and neat. Too neat and clean for me, mind you, but it's still really nice.

(click for a live preview)

Some students who took the PMI-001 have not been able to get into their field. But the majority of people, who took the 70-290 exams, has found excellent paying jobs. No matter how challenging exams like 350-001 are, you know you're going to get somewhere with it in the future. To pass exams like VCP-310, you need to have self-motivation. With motivation, you can retain 1Y0-259 type exam information better. You'll learn all about network design from the N10-003 exams. When studying for the 70-526 exams, keep in mind the Microsoft certification you will be getting.

Hello everyone!

I am a proud Mozilla Firefox user! (no, that link is not an ad).
I use a Mac but I do have a PC too. I check all these blogs in IE7.

I do not check them in IE6 and before. I do make previews available, however, and you are free to see how they'll look, on your own computer, once installed.

If you are interested in having a good/optimised web viewing experience then I would definitely recommend that you use Firefox.

Why am I saying this?

Basically, some of my designs my look weird in Internet Explorer (IE) version 6 and before and besides, I like Firefox very much.

If you are using IE6 or before.... then firstly allow me to look at you strangely before I give you this advice: I really think you should get with the times and ditch it (for Firefox?) or if, clutching at my skirt hem, crying, proclaim you must keep using IE forever and ever (I don't know why you'd say such nonsense) then you should make sure you update to Internet Explorer version 7. As much as it pains me to link to it: IE7 can be found here.

IE7 actually has some of the features of Firefox (*cough*).

If I had one wish, I would (probably not) wish that everyone with a computer had the same screen resolution, browser and colour settings as I do. The life would be easy and we could dance in meadows of buttercups and everyday would be my Birthday... or something like that.

Actually I'd probably wish for a big bag of never ending cash. Sorry!

Ok, here is one of my "original" designs - "Candy Coloured Dreams" - although I have fixed up a few minor problems (it's amazing how much I've taught myself about Blogger designs over the last few months!).

(click for a live preview)
As always, I'd love to know if you use it. Leave me a comment!

PLEASE NOTE: your blog title will not show up because the header of this blog is an image - please feel free to edit this image yourself to reflect your own blog title. You will need image editing software to do this (and somewhere to host the altered image). Go crazy & show me what you do. I like doing it this way because it's more interesting - you can chose any font for a header image but you can't for an actual text header.

I know a lot of people are going to want this design using your header and description but please be patient: that design is coming! I just thought I'd quickly post this one up. I'm sooooo busy right now (with work, this site, impending xmas - omg can you believe the year is nearly over?). Apologies for not updating as much as I'd like to but I have more than 50 designs in my archive now - most with live previews - so that should keep you busy!

I love pictures of cupcakes and candy (no secret by now). Unfortunately I am not a good artist!

I got permission from the delightful Burnbadart to use an image she did of cupcakes in one of my designs and I just have to say a HUUUUGE thank you! I love these cupcakes soooo much! Simply delightful!

(click for a live preview)

PS: Due to the spacing of the header image and the actual text of your heading I would advise you to have both a heading and description. If you don't have a title for your blog there is going to be some weird space there. Therefore, I advise you to have a heading a description for this template.
