What do I need to do to correct the error? I have downloaded the file 2x.

I would recommend that you check you're not trying to install this template in "classic" mode (check my instructions for how to install it).

Also, you should not have to touch that bix box of code at all. You should "browse" for the xml file and upload that from your computer.
