Hi! I hope you like my blogger templates.

My name is Sharnee and I started suckmylolly.com as a creative outlet. If I didn't design blogger templates for the public then I would probably be changing my own design every other day!

And besides... it's much more fun to share! (I believe that wholeheartedly). As you may have noticed, all my designs are released under Creative Commons 3.0 - worldwide - so that means that you can use them for whatever purpose you want and I don't mind one bit! I even don't mind if they're used for commercial purposes (just make sure you show me - because the ego is a beautiful thing). I also appreciate keeping the link back to me because it gets more people aware of my templates - the less generic in this world the better!

I never honestly thought that so many people would like my templates (and that really does fill me up with warm fuzzies). I like aesthetically pleasing things and I don't think a blog should be neglected - even if it may be perused by people in Google Reader.

There are also a lot of blog design templates out there that are made by... well I don't know who. Robots? I can promise that I make each and every one of these templates individually and it's not just a matter of slapping one new pic on a template and giving it a new name. Each one of my designs is made up of about 5 images that all piece together.

Anyway, that's all boring stuff.

  • candy (strangely enough I don't enjoy the taste of sugary-candy but I LOVE the way it looks) - I do love chocolate though!
  • birthday cakes from 1950s - 1980s
  • retro images of motels
  • boys
  • toast
  • Swimmer goods (Japanese)
  • icanhascheezburger.com
  • Christmas pudding
  • confusing myself with the notion of time travel

I'd love to use your templates... but I don't know if you've noticed that the name of your website could be considered, well, vulgar. They are fantastic, and I would use them in a heartbeat if I weren't concerned that my readers could take it the wrong way. I know a ton of mommy bloggers who would probably flock here if it wasn't called www.suckmylolly.com. Please consider changing your name to something less potentially offensive. You have tons of talent for design, and there are many who would love to get your designs. I'm disappointed that I can't.

I appreciate you leaving the comment Ellen but there is no way, ever, that I am changing the name of this site just to appease some readers.

Why? Because I like it - my personality is cheeky and I think it's funny. I really dislike how conservative people are becoming these days. BORING!

And also, if you had read the T&C of my site:
"If you are easily offended and the URL of suckmylolly.com upsets you greatly (cough) then you may alter the link to be freebloggerdesigns.blogspot.com - right before untangling your knickers and realising it's not the 1950s anymore and there is more to life than a simple double entendre".

Someone once said they'd rather DIE than have "template by suckmylolly.com" - which, without a doubt, is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my entire life.

As also mentioned in my T&C - if you absolutely, positively hate my URL - then remove it. It's a piece of text for crying out loud - there's more to life than giving a crap what a "mommy blogger" thinks about you, but if it does mean that much - remove it.
