Yes! I do listen! :)

A lot of people said they'd like to see this design for new blogger, so here you are!
I've kept the width and it's true to the original (850px) and I think you'll agree that it looks awesome as a "new blogger" template!

Download the XML template: here (zip)

Please note:
  • No, your own blog title is not going to be visible as I've removed it to make way for the Sylvia Plath quote. Sorry, that's the way I've made it. You're more than welcome to edit the image in photoshop/graphics editor though and erase what's there and put yr own thing in.
  • BACK UP your widget data!! Installing a new template one may erase the data you have there! (just in case you didn't know that).
  • If you're installing this over a "classic" or html blogger design then you may have to chose a generic blogger design before uploading this one.
ALSO...... I've been receiving a lot of emails from people asking me to re-vamp my old html versions and make them into XML ones. I will do it! I swear! The easiest way to stay updated is to subscribe to updates by email and get emailed my new designs. The subscribe box is to the in the RIGHT HAND SIDE there! >>>>

Cheers!
xx Sharnee

Ok, I have reskinned a XML blogger template to be the same as Black Scrolly (post previous to this one) but I had to change a few things around so it is slightly different from the orangey, previous, design. It works in IE6, IE7 and even... (bah bah bah bah) IE5.5.

I've changed the orange into pink and moved the round embellishment thing to the side.

Note: If you have any widgets/data that you do not wish to lose in your sidebar please backup your data before uploading this - or you may lose them.

  • If you are currently using a template in "Classic Blogger"
you may have to go back to your Blogger dashboard and click on TEMPLATE >> CUSTOMISE DESIGN for it to work.
You will have to "upgrade your template" to upload the XML file.
It may ask you to chose a generic template first, but after doing this you can go to the below TEMPLATE screen and "upload a template from a file on your hard drive" - and it will work.
  • If you are already using "new" Blogger:
then you should be able to upload this straight away - again, please back up your current template if you have data in the sidebar, as previously mentioned.

IMPORTANT: Nov 26th Update: this design is not displaying properly in IE6, but looks very pretty on IE7, Firefox and Safari (Macs & PCs). I shouldn't be so worried I know. I do want to make sure it looks pretty for everyone so I'll try and fix it (or re-skin it) in the next week and re-upload. If you're not using the most recent version of Firefox or Internet Explorer then you're putting yourself at risk, as older versions are less secure. Check which versions you have and update.

Hi there! Hope you like this design. It's simple, classy and neat. Too neat and clean for me, mind you, but it's still really nice.

Some students who took the PMI-001 have not been able to get into their field. But the majority of people, who took the 70-290 exams, has found excellent paying jobs. No matter how challenging exams like 350-001 are, you know you're going to get somewhere with it in the future. To pass exams like VCP-310, you need to have self-motivation. With motivation, you can retain 1Y0-259 type exam information better. You'll learn all about network design from the N10-003 exams. When studying for the 70-526 exams, keep in mind the Microsoft certification you will be getting.

Many people have asked why Pink Flowery Border doesn't have your blog title or description on it. Sorry! I guess I made it pretty minimalist and just didn't realise it would be a good thing.

So, here we have Pink Flowery Header Deux - which has a few extra features:
  • it's wider
  • recent comments link in side menu bar
  • heading & blog description

Enjoy! xx

Here is a "classic" blogger template (classic in that the layout isn't doing anything tricky) and it's relatively straightforward. Oh and it's pink.

I would DEFINITELY recommend that you have a "title" for your blog, otherwise there will be a vast space of nothingness above the pink swirl, in otherwords it might look a little silly.

Dear Diary is a simple, white blogger design. It's clean with non-obtrusive images and it's quite classic and simple (without putting everyone to sleep!). I hope you like it.
Tested on IE too - although I HATE IE with a passion - you should get Firefox, no joke.

The code has been removed. It's old skool (not XML) and full'o'faults. If you absolutely positively feel that you need this template, please email me: freebloggerdesigns@gmail.com

********

PLEASE BE AWARE: that classic blogger designs are not compatible with "drag & drop" style widgets. If you want to add things to the side bar then you're going to have to edit the design yourself. You CAN add widgets but you will have to copy and paste the html/javascript code that is provided from wherever you got the widget from into the area of the code where you want the widget to be?
Don't know much about web design/html then I'd recommend that you use XML designs instead.

********

Here are the instructions for installing "old" or "classic" blogger templates.
Most of my older designs are this format - when you downloaded the template you'll find a .txt file of the code you need to use.

Here's what you've gotta do:

Log into your Blogger account and click on "Settings"

Select the "Template" tab and then from the Template page, please click on the "Edit HTML" submenu.

(click for a larger view)

At the bottom of the "Edit HTML" page (under the text box which is full of code), you will see a link: "Revert to Classic Template"

(click for a larger view)

A pop up window will open which says: "If you revert to your Classic Template, you will still be able to recover your current design. Click OK to revert".

CLICK "OK"

A page will then load (after you've clicked OK) which is another text box full of code. Please select all this text [either with your mouse or click CONTROL+A] DELETE ALL THIS TEXT

(click for a larger view)

Open the .txt file which has the code for your new Blogger design.
Select ALL this text [either with your mouse or click CONTROL+A] Copy this text [either using mouse, menu bar or CONTROL+C]

NOTE: If you want to save a copy of this text before you replace it, feel free to do so here.

Paste this text into the now empty text box [either by using menu or CONTROL+V] If you want to PREVIEW the design before you commit the changes, click PREVIEW. It will probably open a new window so you can check it.

When you are ready to save it, go back to the previous window (where you just pasted the code) and click SAVE! DO NOT PANIC if things get weird because it's very easy to chose a generic design and start again from scratch.

The biggest issue you'll probably have is not reading these instructions properly - please check this twice before contacting me. All the templates DO work, as I check them pretty thoroughly.

fyi: suckmylolly.com is "classic" blogger, not an XML design :)
